DevOps Engineer

Stathletes is revolutionizing professional hockey data and analytics for the world’s premier leagues, teams, players, agents, media, sportsbooks and digital platforms. Our mission is to offer the most comprehensive dataset in sports to drive the most accurate and insightful statistical analysis available in the market.
And we’re looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to take ownership of our database infrastructure and play a key role in supporting the software ecosystem at Stathletes.
What you will do
As the DevOps Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the robust CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and reliability engineering practices that underpin Stathletes' software delivery. This will include optimizing cloud resource utilization, automating deployments, monitoring system health, and responding to incidents. You'll work cross-functionally with our engineering teams to streamline the software development lifecycle and improve overall system availability and performance.
This role also provides an exciting opportunity to build software that integrates with cutting-edge AI, being part of a team that is shaping how the world creates and consumes sports data.
Who you are
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- Solid experience in DevOps or SRE roles, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
- Extensive knowledge of containerization and orchestration platforms (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong scripting skills in languages like Bash, Python, or Go
- Experience with cloud provider services and managing cloud infrastructure
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch)
- Ability to automate and optimize operational tasks to improve reliability and scalability
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with engineering teams
- A love of hockey
