Product Designer (Contract)

Overview

Stathletes is revolutionizing professional hockey data and analytics for the world’s premier leagues, teams, players, agents, media, sportsbooks and digital platforms. Our mission is to offer the most comprehensive dataset in sports to drive the most accurate and insightful statistical analysis available in the market.

We are looking for an experienced Contract Product Designer to lead the design of a specific product initiative. As a key member you will collaborate closely with product, engineering, operations, and our clients to craft intuitive, impactful experiences that will fundamentally improve how hockey stats are gathered and distributed.

The Contract

Duration: Roughly 4 months starting in Spring 2026
Key Milestone: High-fidelity, dev-ready wireframes, following iterative internal and client review cycles
Location: Remote in Canada
Rate: $80,000 - $130,000 annually, pro-rated to the contract term

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have:

Experience Designing for High-Density Data: A portfolio that showcases B2B tools, dashboards, or complex data-entry products.
Interaction Mastery: You abide by UX Laws and and keen on designing for low cognitive load.
High-Fidelity Execution: Proficiency in Figma to deliver polished, dev-ready components and prototypes.
Speed & Independence: As a contractor, you are comfortable hitting the ground running and managing your own time.
Communication Skills: The ability to justify your design decisions, knowing when to accommodate and when to push back.

Nice-to-haves:

Familiarity with how design translates to React/TypeScript environments.
A genuine love for hockey or an understanding of game flow.
